Antiterminator
An anti-terminator , also anti-termination factor or anti - termination protein , is a protein or an RNA that binds to specific sequences of the DNA and thus causes the RNA polymerase to read over a normal termination sequence . You block the action of terminators . Antiterminators play a role particularly in the transcription of virus DNA.
Anti-termination processes do not occur randomly, but are specifically controlled. One such antiterminator is the Q protein of phage λ . The pN protein acts as an antiterminator of the N and cro genes.
