Antoinette Hunziker

Antoinette Hunziker-Ebneter (born November 28, 1960 ) is a Swiss entrepreneur and banking specialist.

Life

Hunziker grew up in Wettingen in the canton of Aargau , studied business administration at the University of St. Gallen and obtained a diploma from the Swiss Banking School.

In 1987 she started her career at Bank Leu and rose to the management as head of securities trading and sales. In 1995 she became the first female head of the SWX Swiss Exchange (now SIX). She was responsible for setting up and commissioning the Swiss electronic exchange. In 2001 she took over the management of the pan-European stock exchange virt-x . In 2002 she became head of trading and sales and a member of the group management at Julius Baer . In 2006 she founded her own company, Forma Futura Invest AG, an independent asset management company for private and institutional clients with a focus on investments that are financially sound and promote a sustainable quality of life. She has been a member of the board of directors of Berner Kantonalbank (BEKB) since 2014, and chairwoman of the board of directors since 2015. As one of her first official acts, she lowered her own wages - compared to her predecessor - by around a third (“I wanted to set an example”).

In addition to her professional activity, Hunziker is a co-founder of the waterkiosk foundation , whose projects enable access to clean drinking water in emerging countries.
