Anton Baierer

Anton Baierer (born September 20, 1931 ) is a former German university president.

Career

The study of economics at the LMU Munich was successfully completed as a business graduate and business teacher.

This was followed by teaching activities at Landshut vocational schools, as a professor at the Landshut-Schönbrunn branch of the Weihenstephan University of Applied Sciences. Since the Landshut University of Applied Sciences was founded in 1978, he has been its vice-president and dean of the business administration department.

Baierer was initially chairman of the structural advisory board, then founding commissioner for the Deggendorf University of Applied Sciences . From its founding in 1994 to September 30, 1996, he was its first president. He was awarded the Golden Ring of Honor of the city of Deggendorf in 2000. In 2001 Baierer was appointed second honorary senator of the Deggendorf University of Applied Sciences.
