Antonio Cid Cortés (born February 16, 1954 in Xunqueira de Espadanedo , Ourense Province ) is a Spanish former boccia player . He was born with infantile cerebral palsy , also suffers from tetraplegia and therefore last started in disabled sports in classification group BC1.

While working in the Netherlands in the 1980s , he became interested in boccia. With six medals - including three gold ones - he is one of the most successful athletes in his sport at the Paralympic Summer Games . In addition, he won seven medals in world, five in European and 16 in national Spanish championships during his career.

Cid Cortés is a member of the Asociación Aixiña in Ourense , a non-profit association and meeting place for physically and mentally disabled people.
