Antonio D'Agostino (born January 25, 1938 in Catanzaro ) is an Italian porn film director .

Life

Already with his first film, La ceremonia dei sensi , D'Agostino caused a sensation in 1979, because he mixed erotic scenes with modern interpretations of the life of Christ . In 1980's Eva Man , he also played with the audience's sensationalism by casting the lead with Eva Robins , the first transsexual star in the Italian film industry. Both films attracted attention and audiences outside of the porn film industry due to their unusual choice of topics. From 1981 D'Agostini devoted himself almost continuously under the pseudonym Richard Bennet (t) , to the conventional porn film, often with Rossana Doll , and did not make any more films worth mentioning.

In addition to his own films, he also made documentaries about the porn film industry in the mid-1980s. D'Agostino left the film industry around the middle of the following decade.
