Antonio Krüger is a German computer scientist and CEO of the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI).

Life

Krüger studied computer science at the Saarland University . He completed the Cognitive Science Graduate School there and received his doctorate in 1999 . He then worked in the SFB 378 "Resource Adaptive Cognitive Processes" and at the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence . In 2004, Krüger accepted the professorship for computer science and geoinformatics at the University of Münster ; In 2009 he moved back to Saarland University and to the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence GmbH (DFKI), where he heads the research area Cognitive Assistance Systems. In November 2019 he was appointed CEO of the DFKI.

Krüger is a co-founder of a company that develops mobile and ubiquitous information systems.

In 2012 he received the EHI Science Award .

As of November 2019, he had published 257 scientific papers and was cited 7752 times.

The CDU / CSU parliamentary group named him as an expert for the Study Commission Artificial Intelligence - Social Responsibility and Economic, Social and Ecological Potential, which was set up in 2018 .
