Anton de Heyde or Antonius de Heide (middle of the 17th century in Middelburg ) was a Dutch doctor.

Live and act

Only so much is known about Anton de Heyde's life that he practiced as a doctor in Middelburg around the middle of the 17th century. In his posthumous works, he refuted Lorenzo Bellini's bloodletting theses through experiments that he had carried out on the peritoneum of living frogs. De Heyde's research results were confirmed by Albrecht von Haller in 1754 on the basis of the results of his own experiments.
