Ao Gunji
Ao Gunji ( Japanese 郡 司 蒼 , Gunji Ao ; born September 1970 in Tokyo Prefecture ) is a Japanese photographer. He lives and works in Tokyo .
style
Gunji photographed almost exclusively black and white - Act without any abstraction; mostly indoors, sometimes also outdoors. With his pictures, Ao Gunji tries not to depict the moment, but what has already happened, thus enabling the viewer to look into the assumed past .
Ao Gunji is known for carefully planning his works and often meticulously choosing locations. Only when he has found the place does he look for the model - mostly unknown to him.
