Aobh
Aobh is a female legend from the Celtic mythology of Ireland .

She is the daughter of Bodb Dearg and the wife of Lir , king of the Túatha Dé Danann . After giving birth to twins twice, she dies in childbed. Her children, Fionnuala, Aed , Fiachra and Conn, are to be killed at the will of her sister Aoife , Lir's second wife, instead she turns a compassionate servant into swans. According to another version, Aoife, gripped by remorse, is said to have transformed the children themselves. This tale is passed down as Oidheadh Chlainne Lir ("The story of the children of Lir").
In another version, she marries Manannan mac Lir , Lir's son.
