Apache Friends

Apache Friends is a not for profit project promoting the Apache web server and related technologies like MySQL , PHP and Perl . In particular, this is intended to promote technologies that are required for the operation and (programming) creation of websites. Since it was founded in the spring of 2002 by Kai 'Oswald' Seidler and Kay Vogelgesang, the aim of the project has been to support especially beginners in using these technologies.

Projects

  • Creation of documentation that enables an easy introduction and also offers further help
  • XAMPP , a project to facilitate the entry into Apache, MySQL, PHP and Perl through easy-to-use software.
  • Operation of a forum and a chat on these topics in order to be able to give additional individual help and to promote a community that can offer support to one another.
