Apostolar von Sleptsche

The Apostolar von Sleptsche is a manuscript in Old Church Slavonic in Cyrillic script from the middle of the 12th century from Bulgaria or Macedonia . It contains the full text of the Acts of the Apostles and the Epistles of the New Testament , as well as a menologion . The manuscript consists of 154 sheets of parchment in 1 ° format. Some of the leaves had previously been inscribed with a Greek text in the 10th century ( palimpsest ).

The manuscript was found in 1845 by the Russian Slavist Viktor Grigorowitsch in the Sleptsche monastery in Macedonia. It was divided, today leaves are in Plovdiv , Moscow , Saint Petersburg , Kiev and other places.
