Appellation d'origine guarantee
Appellation d´origine garantie (AOG) ( German approximately guaranteed designation of origin ) is a predicate based on the French AOC for wines from certain, often excellent locations. It is used in Algeria and Morocco . After their independence, both countries replaced the French wine law with national laws. Morocco has been using the AOG label since 1956. There are seven designated wine-growing regions in Algeria whose wines are allowed to carry the AOG designation.
