Apropos is a Salzburg street newspaper that is mainly sold by homeless people and some are also written by homeless people. Speaking of which appears monthly; half of the sales proceeds go to the seller. The circulation is an average of 12,000 pieces.

Apart from the editorial part, which is socially and socio-politically oriented, the newspaper also offers a service section in which event tips and classified ads can be found. The crossword puzzle is also extremely tricky, as it stands out from the ones that can be found in other newspapers.

The street paper Apropos was originally called Asfalter and appeared for the first time on December 1, 1997. In October 2003, the Asfalter was renamed Apropos for legal reasons .

In March 2009 the René Marcic Prize was awarded to the Apropos editors Michaela Gründler and Anja Pia Keglevic.
