Ararat Ohandschanyan

Ararat Aramajissi Ohandschanjan ( Armenian Արարատ Արամայիսի Օհանջանյան ; born May 29, 1968 in Sos, Martuni Province ) is a doctor and member of the National Assembly of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic .

life and career

Ohandschanjan was born on May 29, 1968 in the village of Sos in Martuni. In 1985 he finished his school education.

In the same year he went to the medical institute in Baku . In 1988 he continued his studies at the Yerevan State Medical University and successfully completed it in 1992. After completing his studies, he returned to Arzach , where he took part in the defensive battles.

From 1992 to 1994 he worked as an anesthetist in the field hospital in Martakert . From 1994 to 1997 he was an anesthetist first in the oncological dispensary and then in the republican hospital.

From 1997 to 2007 he worked part-time as a specialist anaesthesiologist-reanimatologist in the state maternity hospital in Arzach. From 1997 to 1998 he worked in the Republican Hospital as the chief physician of the rehabilitation center. From 1998 to 2003 he was the deputy chief physician of the state hospital.

In 2003 he studied at the Moscow Transplant Institute and received the qualification of specialist in neuropathology in the department of nephrology and hemodialysis. Thanks to his efforts, in 2004 the hemodialysis department in the State Hospital was opened.

In 2007 he was appointed Executive Director of the State Hospital. In the elections for the fifth National Assembly on May 23, 2010, he was elected as a member of parliament after proportional representation by the party list "Azat Hajreniq". He is a member of the standing committee for social issues and, from 2012, for social and health issues.

Ararat Ohandschanjan is a member of the " Free Homeland " party (Armenian azat hajreniq) and a member of the party's presidium. He is a member of the “Hajreniq” group.

Ararat Ohandschanjan is married and has four children.
