Workers correspondence movement
The workers correspondence movement was in the 1920 years of trying the KPD as authors, industrial workers newspaper articles winning.
At the end of the 1920s, the KPD suggested that workers, as a kind of special correspondent, write articles about abuses in their factories, which should then appear in the local editions of the Rote Fahne . The KPD wanted to strengthen the workers' ties to the newspaper and hoped to build up a network of illegal newspaper distributors if the party and its press were forced to go underground. For the most talented of the workers' correspondents, however, the articles marked the beginning of a career as a writer. The best known among them were Willi Bredel and Hans Marchwitza .
There were also projects in the GDR with workers' correspondents, the circle of writing workers .
