history

The first advisory rings were founded in 1923 as a self-help facility for agriculture in Lower Saxony. In 1924, an advocacy group was set up, which today is called the Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Landberatung e. V. acts. In 1984 the Decree on Preparing to Work as an Agricultural Advisor was issued. The basic building block for training as a consultant was laid in eleven-week courses, which is still carried out today together with the LWK Lower Saxony and is considered to be one of the most well-founded and most renowned consultant training courses in all of Germany.

Mission and mission statement

The purpose of the Landberatung is to promote the work, cooperation, exchange of experience and the development of its members who are involved in advising agricultural and agriculture-related companies. In addition, she looks after the general professional and social interests of the agricultural management consultants and participates in their training and further education. The main task of the advisory rings is to provide advice on issues relating to farm management, plant production, animal husbandry and the energy industry.

The consultants are on site, near the company being advised. This is the basis for high reliability. A sustainable, long-term relationship between the company and the consultant is sought, so that long-term knowledge of the company situation and family relationships guarantee a close bond and a high level of identification.

The land consultation is financed by membership fees and consultation fees, so it is considered independent. The Landberatung feels solely and exclusively committed to the clients. She looks for individual solutions in the wide range of all institutions and companies.

Organization and structure

Landberatung is the largest agricultural advisory organization in Germany and makes every effort to ensure that Lower Saxony maintains its status as the largest agricultural land in Germany. Around 120 consultants are currently active in around 60 counseling rings for rural consultancy. Your field of activity includes 9,250 agricultural businesses with around 920,000 hectares and a few gardening and fruit-growing businesses. The individual members are partially united in advisory communities, the names of which are made up of the name Landberatung and the name of the region. These communities are in turn divided into the 5 districts of Braunschweig, Hanover, Hildesheim, Lüneburg and Stade, from which the advisory board emerges. The umbrella organization consists of the board of directors and the office, which is based in Hanover.
