Duty to work

The word duty to work includes the following meanings:

  • the main obligation of the employee from a service contract to perform work in accordance with the contract, see work obligation (labor law)
  • an obligation under public law to work during the time of National Socialism, see Reich Labor Service
  • the decree of the Allied Control Council of 1946 on the obligation to register and work, see Control Council Order No. 3
  • the legal obligation to work
  • the constitutional obligation in the GDR to learn and practice a profession, see §§ 24-25 Constitution of the GDR
