Tétouan Archaeological Museum
The Archaeological Museum of the northern Moroccan city of Tétouan is one of the most important museums in the country , alongside the Archaeological Museum of Rabat and the Kasbah Museum of Tangier .

The Archaeological Museum of Tétouan is located not far from the Royal Palace ( Palais Royal ) on the eastern edge of the new town built during the Spanish Protectorate .
history
The museum was built as a new building in the late 1930s and opened in 1940. It mainly houses mosaics from the Roman city of Lixus , which then belonged to the Spanish sphere of influence , but other smaller sites in northern Morocco are also mentioned.

- Vestibule: Mosaic of the Three Graces and the Four Seasons
- Entrance area: showcase with ancient coins
- Right room: Prehistory and early history - model of the stone circle of M'zora
- left room: Roman mosaics
- Upper floor: small Roman finds
- Garden: mosaics (including one with crosses on the edge), grave steles, amphorae etc.
