Orientální archive

Archív Orientální (ArOr, also called Quarterly Journal of African and Asian Studies / Oriental Archives) was founded in Czechoslovakia in 1929 as an international orientalist journal.

Archive Oriental was founded in 1929 at the Institute for Oriental Studies of the Czech Academy of Sciences and Arts in Prague by the orientalist Bedřich Hrozný (1879–1952), the former rector of Charles University . The prestigious international journal of Czech oriental studies publishes studies on the Middle East and Africa in addition to oriental studies. It appears three times a year (May, September, December).
