Chaumot is a French municipality with 760 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Yonne in the region Bourgogne Franche-Comté (before 2016 Bourgogne ). Chaumot belongs to the Arrondissement of Sens and the canton of Villeneuve-sur-Yonne .
geography
Chaumot is located approximately 17 kilometers south-southwest of downtown Sens . Chaumot is surrounded by the neighboring communities Égriselles-la-Bocage in the north and north-west, Marsangy in the north-east, Rousson in the east, Bussy-le-Repos in the south, Piffonds in the west and south-west and Vernoy in the west.
