Ardéchoise

The Ardéchoise is a radsportliche mass event in the French department Ardèche .

A previous event was first held in 1988 under the name Tour de San Farcio . The initiators were Jean-René Sarles, Pierre Jouvencel, Gérard Mistler et François Caussèque. In the first year there were 205, in the second 631 participants. In 1992 the race was first called l'Ardéchoise . In 1993 more than 2,000 drivers competed, in 1996 there were over 6,000. In 1997 Andrei Kiwiljow won ahead of last year's winner Patrick Bruet , in front of Alexander Vinokurow and in front of 9,800 other starters. In 1998 the 10,000 participant mark was broken for the first time. The attendance record was set in 2003 with over 15,000 participants.

Routing

Depending on your personal sporting orientation, you can choose one of the categories cyclosportive (sporty driver), cyclotouriste (touring driver ) or randonneur (walking tour). The sporty category offers five different routes between 120 and 268 km in length and five to fifteen passes with an altitude of up to 5175 meters. The tours in the randonneur category are designed for several days and a daily output of 60 to 200 km.

organization

The Ardéchoise has its own property, inaugurated in 2004, in which the office is located. Nine full-time and numerous voluntary employees work for the Ardéchoise all year round.
