Ardys II
Ardys II. (Also Ardysus II. ) Is a largely legendary king of Lydia from the Mermnaden dynasty . His reign is from Herodotus with 678–629 BC. Chr. Indicated.

Ardys was the successor to the first Mermnaden king Gyges . After he was killed in the fight against the Cimmerians , Ardys had to stabilize the Lydian rule in western Asia Minor again. He succeeded in particular in asserting himself against the Greek cities on the Aegean coast; so during his reign the city of Priene was taken . His successor was his son Sadyattes II.
