The Arevik National Park located in southern Armenia and was proclaimed the year of 2009.

With an area of ​​344 km², it is the largest protected area in Armenia.

The park includes the Boghakar Reserve and borders the Shikahogh Reserve in the northeast and the newly created Sangesur Reserve in the northwest . The vegetation is very diverse and consists of deciduous forests, open forest landscapes, subalpine grasslands, semi-deserts and mountain steppes . The threatened animal species that should be protected in the national park include the Persian leopard , wild goat , Armenian mouflon , brown bear , otter , Caspian king grouse and Caucasian black grouse .
