description

This small butterfly reaches a wingspan of 10 to 12 millimeters. The forewings have a distinctive Y-shaped brass-colored drawing.

Flight time

The adults fly from June to August both at night and on sunny afternoons.

Occurrence

The larvae eat catkins of birch trees, especially silver birch ( Betula pendula ), and alder ( Alnus )
