Aristophon of Azenia was an Athenian politician in the 4th century BC. Chr.

After Athens concluded peace with Thebes in 362/1 BC. BC Aristophon, already at an advanced age, moved up to the top of the state. One of his friends was Leptines , who got the state through a law to save honors. During the years of political supremacy of Eubulus (355 / 4–343 BC) he formed an influential oppositional group together with the strategist Chares .
