Armand Desmet (Judoka)
Armand Desmet (born September 15, 1941 in Clichy-sous-Bois ) is a former French judoka who was European champion in 1967.
Armand Desmet fought in the lightweight up to 68 kilograms until 1964, in 1964 he was second behind André Bourreau at the French championships. After the reorganization of the weight classes , he started in the light middleweight division, the weight class up to 70 kilograms. In 1966 and 1967 he was French champion. At the European Championships in Rome in 1967 , he defeated Eddy van der Pol from the Netherlands in the final .
