Clichy-sous-Bois town hall

Clichy-sous-Bois is located a 15 kilometers east of Paris Situated French municipality with 29,348 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017). The town, 98 meters above sea level, is located in the Seine-Saint-Denis department and in the Le Raincy arrondissement . Riots began in the city in October 2005, following the accidental death of two young people, which subsequently spread to many parts of France. The inhabitants are called clichois .

The city is not to be confused with the north-western Parisian suburb of Clichy .
