Rosny-sous-Bois [ rɔn'isubwa ] is a French town in the Seine-Saint-Denis in the region of Ile-de-France , about ten kilometers (distance) east of central Paris . The inhabitants are called Rosnéens . The place has 46,207 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017).
geography
Rosny-sous-Bois is only a few kilometers from the Paris city limits and therefore in the narrower agglomeration of the capital of France. Today practically the entire municipality is built on. The Molette stream , which later flows indirectly into the Seine, rises in the municipality of Rosny-sous-Bois.

Institutions
The city is home to one of three training centers for artists and circus people in France, the École Nationale des Arts du Cirque de Rosny-sous-Bois .
traffic
The city has two train stations, Rosny-Bois-Perrier and Rosny-sous-Bois , on the Paris-Mulhouse railway line . Trains on line E of the S-Bahn- like Réseau Express Régional (RER) stop there . The construction of an extension of the Paris metro line 11 from its Mairie des Lilas station to the Rosny-Bois-Perrier station began at the end of 2016; the opening is planned for 2022/23.
In addition, the Parisian ring road Autoroute A86 runs through the city , which can be reached via junction 17 / 17.2. In the north of the municipality it crosses the A 3 autoroute .
Town twinning
Rosny-sous-Bois has been sibling with Übach-Palenberg in the Rhineland since 1990 ; friendship and cooperation agreements have existed with Yanzhou in the People's Republic of China and Cotonou in Benin since 2005 .
