Dugny Town Hall

The French city of Dugny is a northeastern suburb of Paris with 10,732 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017), about twelve kilometers from the city center. It belongs to the Seine-Saint-Denis department . The inhabitants are called Dugnysia .

A third of Le Bourget Airport is in the territory of the municipality of Dugny, including the main building and the Musée de l'air et de l'espace (Air and Space Museum), but the airport was named after the neighboring municipality of Le Bourget . A small part of the municipality is in the area of ​​the Parc de La Courneuve.

history

The name of the city comes from the Gallo-Roman duniacom , which means something like "conqueror". Much of the city was destroyed during World War II.
