Initiator Pierre Vinken

The Republikeins Genootschap is a Dutch political movement aiming to abolish the monarchy . It was founded on September 11, 1996 at the Prinsenhof in Delft on the initiative of Pierre Vinken . The cooperative has no statute. Unlike the Nieuw Republikeins Genootschap , which split off from it in January 1998 , it does not want to achieve its goals through actionism . You can only become a member by co-opting ; known members are or were Pim Fortuyn , Theo van Gogh , Leon de Winter , Karel Glastra van Loon , Jan Timman , Ellen ten Damme and Huub Stapel .
