Army Men is a 22-part computer game series that was originally developed by the developer 3DO in 1998 .

While the Army Men series with its countless offshoots got rather poor ratings in the press, the fan base of the games with the green plastic soldiers was very large. The games are mostly a mixture of strategy and action games, later often third-person shooters , with some games also counting as flight or helicopter simulations.

The games that have been released for Playstation 1 and 2 and for Nintendo's N64 and Game Boy are about the army of sarge, little green plastic soldiers who are in fridges, televisions, on billiard tables and much more against blue, gray ones and brown armies fight.

After the bankruptcy of the former developer 3DO , the license was sold to the publisher Take 2 Interactive , which has so far only published one new offshoot of the series for PS2 , Nintendo GameCube , PC and Xbox : Army Men: Sarge's War .
