Army Times

The Army Times is a commercial weekly military newspaper aimed at active soldiers , reservists, and retirees of the United States Army and the United States National Guard and their families. The focus of the reporting is on articles on the career, community and lifestyle of the soldiers as well as background supplements on current political issues.

The Army Times is published by the Military Times Media Group , a division of the Army Times Publishing Company , part of the Gannett Company . In 1997, Gannett bought the Army Times Publishing Company from the Times Journal Company .

In 2006, the Army Times spoke out in favor of resigning Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld .
