Arnaudija Mosque

The Arnaudija Mosque or Tefterdar Mosque ( Bosnian Arnaudija džamija ; Hasana Tefterdara dzamija ) in Banja Luka in Bosnia and Herzegovina is a mosque that was destroyed in the Bosnian War .

history

The mosque was commissioned by the Finance Minister of Paschalik Bosnia Hasan Tefterdar during the reign of Ferhat-Pascha Sokolović and was built from 1594 to 1595. It was blown up on May 7, 1993 almost simultaneously with the Ferhadija Mosque . It has been rebuilt since April 2017. It could be completed by the end of 2019 [obsolete] .

The mosque, built in the “classic” Ottoman style, had a dome on an octagonal drum and a stone minaret . It was adorned by a portico .
