Arnd Schneider

Arnd Schneider (* 1960 ) is a German social anthropologist .

Life

Arnd Schneider obtained his habilitation ( Hamburg 2006), PhD ( London School of Economics and Political Science 1992) and Magister Artium ( Münster 1986). Since 2007 he has been Professor of Social Anthropology at the University of Oslo . He was previously a lecturer in anthropology at the University of East London and the University of Hamburg .

His research interests are thematically: contemporary art, visual anthropology and international migrations and regionally: Sicily, Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay, Ecuador and Mexico.
