Arnold Dehnen (born September 1, 1882 in Duisburg-Meiderich ; † August 26, 1969 ) was a German politician ( DNVP , CDU ).

education and profession

Stretching attended elementary school and then completed an apprenticeship as a carpenter, which he finished in 1896. In 1905 he opened his own carpentry shop and in 1908 he passed the master craftsman's examination. From 1907 to 1933 he was a board member of the carpenters' guild and the district trade union in Duisburg.

politics

Dehnen was a member of several German national parties from 1907 to 1933 and belonged to the city council in Duisburg from 1924 to 1933. From 1912 to 1933 he was, as again from 1945, chairman of the house and landowner association in Duisburg-Meiderich. He joined the CDU after the end of World War II and from 1945 became its district chairman in the Meiderich district of Duisburg. From 1946 he was councilor of the city of Duisburg. In the 1947 state elections for the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia, he was directly elected in the constituency 072 Duisburg-Meiderich. He was a member of the state parliament only in this electoral period from April 20, 1947 to June 17, 1950.
