The Arosa SC is a Spanish football club from the Galician town of Vilagarcía de Arousa , south of the pilgrimage city of Santiago de Compostela . The club, founded in 1945, plays in the Tercera División , Group I for the 2017/18 season .
history
In its more than 70-year history, the Arosa Sociedad Cultural played almost exclusively in the Tercera División , which was initially the third division, later functioned as the fourth division after the introduction of the Segunda División B. The greatest success of the Galician club, founded in 1945, was its participation in the Segunda División in the 1949/50 season. After only one year, the club had to go into the Tercera División, as it finished in 31st place as the penultimate. Even today the Galicians still play in the Tercera División, but were never able to build on their initial successes.
