Artūras Bakšinskas

Artūras Bakšinskas (born August 8, 1960 in Dobilyniai , district of Vilkaviškis ) is a Lithuanian lawyer, president of the Lithuanian Association of Life Insurers ( Lietuvos gyvybės draudimo įmonių asociacija ) and former Vice Minister of Lithuania.

Life

From 1984 to 1990 Bakšinskas graduated from the Vilniaus universitetas with a degree in law and from 1997 to 1999 a master’s degree from the Faculty of Management of the Technical University in Kaunas .

From 1984 to 1991 he worked in the Lietuvos Leidybos įmonės “Spauda” factory, and from 1991 to 1994 as a lawyer in the Rasos District of the Vilnius Municipality Administration . From 1994 to 1995 he was an administrative lawyer at the Tax Inspectorate. Between 1995 and 1999, Bakšinskas held various management positions in the Lithuanian Tax Office before becoming Head of the Tax Inspectorate at the Ministry of Finance of Lithuania in 1999 . From 2000 to 2001 he was Deputy Minister of Finance.

Bakšinskas has headed the Lithuanian Life Insurance Association ( Lietuvos gyvybės draudimo įmonių asociacija ) since 2002 .

He is married and has three children.
