The Art Dubai is an international art fair in Dubai with a focus on contemporary art . It is considered the leading art fair for the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia and takes place annually as part of Art Week in Madinat Jumeirah .

Art Dubai was held for the first time in 2007 , when there were 42 exhibitors. This number rose in the following years, at Art Dubai (2014) it was 75 exhibitors from 32 countries, including galleries known worldwide. In 2014 around 500 artists and 25,000 visitors took part in the event. The Dubai Culture & Arts Authority acted as a strategic partner to the respective sponsors every year . The Sikka Art Fair , organized solely by the Dubai Culture & Arts Authority, differs from Art Dubai in that the Sikka Art Fair focuses on regional, Emirati art and Art Dubai exposes international art (but with reference to the Middle East).
