International Art of Living Foundation

The International Art of Living Foundation (IAOLF) is a voluntary, non-governmental , charitable organization committed to human wellbeing and a non-violent and stress-free world. Guided by the belief that global peace begins with peaceful people, their programs focus on the individual's ability to feel and live peace.

It was founded in 1981 by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar . Since then, according to the IAOLF, people in over 140 countries have attended the mostly paid courses. The seat is in Bangalore in the Indian state of Karnataka.

The IAOLF works closely with the International Association for Human Values ​​(IAHV). The International Art of Living Foundation has consultant status with the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) of the United Nations (UN). The IAOLF has been registered as an independent foundation in Switzerland since 2003.
