Panupong began his career with his hometown club, Chiangmai FC . From 2002 to 2003 he played in the club's youth department, and in 2004 he moved to the senior team. In 2005 he switched to FC Royal Thai Police and completed a total of 60 games for this club by 2007. For the 2008 season he moved to FC PEA . At his new club he was able to help win the first championship in the club's history. With the club he was in the qualifying round for the 2009 AFC Champions League . The opponent was the FC Singapore Armed Forces . After a 1: 4 in extra time, he retired with his club. As a loser in the qualification, the club was allowed to participate in the AFC Cup and thus gained his first experience in a continental club competition. At the end of the 2009 season he was signed by the new master Muang Thong. He was also able to take part in the qualifying round for the AFC Champions League with this club . After the club beat SHB Đà Nẵng 3-0 in the first round , they met the champions of Singapore, the Singapore Armed Forces, in the second round. Even on his second attempt, he did not manage to take the hurdle. For him personally tragic, the game had to be decided on penalties. Panupong was the second shooter on his team. His penalty was shot very badly and was saved by the opposing goalkeeper.
