The Thailand U-23 national soccer team is a selection team of Thai soccer players . It is subordinate to the Thai football association FAT and represents it internationally at the U-23 level , for example in friendly matches against the teams of other national associations, at U-23 Asian championships and the football tournaments of the Summer Olympics , the Asian Games and the Southeast Asian Games .
So far, the team has not been able to qualify for the Olympic football tournament. Thailand took part twice in the U-23 Asian Cup, but both were eliminated in the group stage. At the Southeast Asian Games, the team won gold medals seven times from 2001 to 2017. Thailand took part in the Asian Games five times and finished fourth in 2002 and 2014 .
Eligible to play are players who have not yet reached the age of 23 and who are Thai citizens .
