The South Korean U-23 national soccer team is a selection team of South Korean soccer players . It is subordinate to the South Korean Football Association KFA and represents it internationally at the U-23 level , for example in friendly matches against the teams of other national associations, at U-23 Asian championships and the football tournaments of the Summer Olympics and the Asian Games .
So far, the team has qualified for the Olympic football tournament seven times. In 2012 she won the bronze medal in her sixth participation. South Korea took part in the U-23 Asian Cup three times and finished second in 2016 . Gold medals were won at the Asian Games in 2014 and 2018 .
Eligible to play are players who have not yet reached the age of 23 and who are South Korean citizens .
