The Sri Lankan U-23 National Football Team is a select team of Sri Lankan football players . It is subordinate to the Sri Lankan Football Association FFSL and represents it internationally at the U-23 level , for example in friendly matches against the teams of other national associations, at U-23 Asian championships and the football tournaments of the Summer Olympics and the South Asian Games .
So far, the team has not been able to qualify for the Olympic football tournament or the U-23 Asian Cup. At the South Asian Games in 2004 , Sri Lanka won the bronze medal and in 2006 the silver medal.
Eligible to play are players who have not yet reached the age of 23 and who are Sri Lankan citizenship .
