Soccer at the South Asian Games

At the South Asian Games, soccer is one of the sports that has been part of the program of the Games since 1984. The tournament takes place at irregular intervals. Participants are the national soccer teams of the eight associations in South Asia. In 2010 a tournament in women's football was held for the first time. Since 2004, an age limit of 23 yearshas been in effect for men, analogous to the regulation at the Olympic football tournament . India competed with its U-20 selection from 2004 to 2010.
