Football at the Pacific Games
At the Pacific Games(formerly the South Pacific Games), football is one of the sports that, with one exception in 1999, has always been part of the program of the Games. In addition to the OFC associations organizedwithin FIFA ,participantsalso include their associated members, as well as occasionally selections from countries that do not belong to FIFA or the Oceanic Football Association. With Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands , teams are also taking part that can be assigned to the Pacific region butbelong tothe Asian Football Association AFC . A women's football tournament has also been held since 2003.
