South Pacific Games 1971 / Football

At the IV South Pacific Games in Tahiti in 1971 , a football competition was held. Six teams took part in the tournament. All games were played in Papeete from September 1st to 5th, 1971 . The game was played in two groups of three teams each. The first and second placed qualified for the semifinals. The group third also played for fifth place.

New Caledonia won the South Pacific Games tournament for the third time.
