The New Caledonian national soccer team represents the French overseas territory of New Caledonia in international women's soccer. After the first Oceania Cup in their own country in 1983, which also covered the first "competitive games" but were not counted by FIFA because New Caledonia had only been a FIFA member since 2004, only three games were played in 2007. Therefore, this team was also removed from the FIFA world rankings for women . Games were not held again until August 2011, initially in preparation for the Pacific Games and then at the same. There the team reached the final, unbeaten, where they lost 2-1 to the players from Papua New Guinea , whom they had defeated in the group stage. Also in 2015 the final was reached, in which they lost again to Papua New Guinea, this time with 0: 1. In 2018, the New Caledonian Association hosted the 2018 Oceania Women's Soccer Championship , for which all 11 member associations had registered for the first time, four of which had to qualify for the tournament. The team reached the semi-finals with two wins and one defeat, but lost 8-0 to record winners New Zealand - the highest defeat in their international history - and then the game for third place against Papua New Guinea with 7-1.

Oceania Championship
Olympic games
As a French overseas territory, New Caledonia is not a member of the IOC and therefore cannot participate in the Olympic Games. The team partly took part in the Pacific Games, which served as a pre-qualification for the Olympic Games, but could not qualify for the main qualification there either.
