The Football Oceania Championship for women 1983 ( English : OFC Women's Nations Cup ) was the first playout of an oceanic continental championship in women's football ; it took place from November 28th to December 4th 1983 in Nouméa (New Caledonia). With hosts New Caledonia as well as Australia , Fiji and New Zealand , a total of four teams took part. Everyone against everyone was played in a simple round. The two first-placed teams then played a final game.
New Zealand won with a 3-2 final victory over Australia.
