The Nepalese U-23 national soccer team is a selection team of Nepalese soccer players . It reports to the Nepalese football association ANFA and represents it internationally at the U-23 level , for example in friendly matches against the teams of other national associations, at U-23 Asian championships and the football tournaments of the Summer Olympic Games , the Asian Games and the South Asian Games .
So far, the team has not been able to qualify for the Olympic football tournament or the U-23 Asian Cup. The team won the gold medal for the first time at the South Asian Games in 2016 . Nepal took part in the Asian Games once, but was eliminated in the group stage.
Eligible to play are players who have not yet reached the age of 23 and who have Nepalese citizenship .
