The Omani U-23 national soccer team is a selection team of Omani soccer players . It is subordinate to the Omani football association OFA and represents it internationally at the U-23 level , for example in friendly matches against the national teams of other national associations, at the U-23 Asian championships , the U-23 tournament of the Golf Cup and the football tournaments of the Summer Olympic Games and the Asian Games .
So far, the team has not been able to qualify for the Olympic football tournament. Oman took part twice in the U-23 Asian Cup, but were eliminated both times in the group stage. The team won the U-23 golf cup for the first time in 2011 . Oman took part in the Asian Games four times and made it to the quarter-finals in 2010 .
Players who have not yet reached the age of 23 and who are Omani citizens are eligible to play.
